So the sound will remain the same, but if you want to turn it off, you can do it on settings.

However, you can change the notification of all apps at once only on your iPhone.

It’s not possible to open each app on settings individually and change their notification.

1.Open your iPhone settings

Go to your iPhone settings.

Now make sure that your notifications are working.

Because if they are not working, you have to enable your phone notification first.

But if your phone notification is working and Snapchat are not.

You have to make it work on Snapchat.

2.Tap on “Sounds & Haptics”

On your iPhone settings, tap on “Sounds & Haptics”.

Then you will be redirected to your iPhone notification sounds page.

So scroll down a bit, and you will find a menu called “SOUNDS AND VIBRATION PATTERNS”.

Here you can change your iPhone notification sound and not Snapchat.

3.Change your iPhone notification sound

Now that you’ve found the “Sounds and Patterns” menu, you can start changing the sounds.

So tap on each button that you want to change like Ringtone and other menus.

However, to change the notification sound of the messages and texts you receive, tap on “Text Tone”.

Then a new page will open which is the “Text Tone” notification sound page.

So choose any sound you want by tapping on it and listening to it.

Now, when you finish choosing, you can just exit that page or settings to apply changes.

4.Turn off the Snapchat notification sound if you want

Now, after changing your device’s notification sound, you can turn off the notifications of Snapchat if you want to.

So you will just receive a notification banner without a sound.

As we said that you can’t change the Snapchat notification sound, it’s a default sound.

So tap on Snapchat in your app settings, then on the new page tap on “Notifications”.

Now switch the “Sounds” button off by tapping on the toggle switch.

How To Change Snapchat Notification Sound on Android

To change the Snapchat notification sound on Android, open your android settings page then tap on “Apps & Notifications”, and find the Snapchat app.

Now tap on the Snapchat app, then you will be able to start changing the notification sound on that page.

First, open your Android settings page.

Then tap on “Apps & Notifications”.

A new page will open where you can see all the apps.

So you can choose each of them to edit and change their notification sounds.

2.Search for the Snapchat App

Now that you’ve opened the notifications page.

It’s time to find the Snapchat app, so you can either scroll down to find it.

Or tap on the magnifier icon to search for Snapchat.

But searching for it is faster if you have a lot of apps.

3.Open the notification page

After finding Snapchat and opening the notification page.

You will find all the notification menus to edit here.

So the one that interests us the most is the “Snaps and Chats” menu.

In this menu, you can change the Snapchat snaps and chats notification sound.

Which are the most important ones.

4.Change the notification settings

To start the editing and changing process, tap on the “Snaps and Chats” menu.

Then a new page will open which is the notification edit sound.

You can start editing all the options and menus of the notification.

So first, make sure that the “Allow notifications” are turned on.

5.Change and add your notification sound

It’s time to change the Snapchat notification sound.

So tap on the “Notification Sound” menu.

Then a new page will open, showing you all the other notification sounds that you can choose from that page.

So tap on any sound you’d like to add, then listen to it and confirm.

However, you can choose another sound on your device by tapping on the “Music on device” menu.

Finally, when you find out the sound you want for your Snapchat app, you can close the settings page and the change will be applied automatically.

What if Your Snapchat Notification Sound Is Not Working

If you are facing issues and the notification sound is not working.

Like when you receive a Snapchat chat or snaps, there is no sound.

Then it’s likely your phone notifications are turned off or there is another issue.

So to fix this:

1. Make sure your phone is up-to-date.
2. Verify that the phone system notifications are working.
3. Allow the Snapchat notification sound.
4. Uninstall and reinstall the app.
5. Clear your App cache.
6. Restart your phone.

After doing these steps, the Snapchat notification sound should get back to work again.
