Are you trying to invite someone to your post or reel as a collaborator on Instagram, but the feature is not showing?

The collaboration feature on Instagram connects both you and the other creator on the same post by displaying your accounts’ names.

If the “Add collaborator” button is not showing on the tag people page, it might be that you still aren’t eligible for having the feature, or you don’t have an iPhone; To fix this issue, you need to first restart your app then try again, then follow the fixes below.

Keep in mind that these fixes may only work with iPhone devices, as Instagram still hasn’t rolled out the feature for android devices.

Today I will show you why is the invite collaborator option not showing on your Instagram app and how to fix it.

Why Is the Invite Collaborator Not Showing on Instagram?

The invite collaborator is not showing on Instagram, because either you aren’t in a country where the feature is available, or you still can’t get access to the feature on your current mobile phone OS.

If you have an android phone, you won’t be able to get the collaboration feature.

In the meantime, it’s only available on iPhones.

This is because Instagram is testing the feature worldwide.

There are other several reasons that are in charge of making this feature disappear.

You can also check why the follow request has disappeared on your Instagram.

1.Instagram still hasn’t rolled out the feature in your country

One of the main reasons why the invite collaborator option is not showing on your Instagram account is because Instagram is still testing the feature.

As it’s still in the beta phase, it’s still not available worldwide.

You need to be in the eligible region where the feature is working.

Otherwise, you’ll have to use a VPN app and try if it works, as Instagram allows using a VPN.

2.You don’t have an iPhone device

If you have an android device, you might not be able to collab or even see the feature on the app.

Usually, when Instagram and Facebook roll out a feature, they first add it to the iOS version.

Then, after testing it for a while and seeing that there are no issues with it, they decide to add it to the Android devices.

So you need to use an iPhone in order to be able to collab with other users.

3.You haven’t updated the app

In some cases, you may miss some app updates that Instagram has published.

This is because your phone may be fulfilled with apps and its storage is loaded with a lot of data.

So when an update comes out, you might not get notified.

This is why the invite collaborator option might not be showing on your Instagram account.

After that, you need to select an account to collaborate with, by searching for that account.

Keep in mind that once you publish the post or reel, the collaborator will receive a notification as a request to accept or refuse the collab.
