Uploading clips on TikTok and adding a sound only is not enough, so you might need to sync these clips with the sound sync feature on the app.
However, the sound sync feature on TikTok is not helpful to the point where you can adjust and sync the sound completely with your clips or photos.
To sync the clips on the TikTok app and make them longer, you need to use the CapCut app.
By using this app, you’ll be able to sync the sounds easily and make your clips longer.
Today, I will show you how to make clips longer on TikTok sound sync.
How To Make Clips Longer on TikTok Sound Sync
To make your clips longer on TikTok sound sync, you need to add them on the CapCut app, then add the sound.
You can connect your TikTok account directly to CapCut to sync your favorite sounds.
After adding the sound, you need to start adding the “Beats” manually.
These Beats need to follow the sound beat drops to make the transition looks catchy.
Then you need to line up the audio with the videos to complete the process.
1.Download the CapCut app
First, you need to download the CapCut app.
It’s available for both Android and iPhone.
After downloading the app, you can start the process to make your clips longer on the TikTok sound sync.
However, you can enable the “Auto Sync” if you want on the TikTok app.
But the clip will not get synced exactly with the sound, there will always be a difference.
2.Add your clips
Now that you’ve opened the app, and you’re ready to add your videos you can start.
On the first page of the app tap on the “+ New Project”.
A new popup will show up in most cases asking you to grant access to the gallery, especially on iPhone.
After granting access, your gallery will show up.
Select the videos that you want to create your video with by tapping on the empty circles near each video.
When you select your videos tap on “Add”.
3.Add or Sync your TikTok sounds

Tap on “Sounds” to open the sounds page.
When the Sounds page opens, you will see a lot of sounds categories.
These categories also have TikTok default sounds that you can choose.
If you have a specific or a favorite audio file that you wish to add, you can connect the CapCut app to your TikTok account.
To do so, tap on “Sign in with TikTok”.
Now tap on “Authorize” to link CapCut to your TikTok account.
After that, you’ll be able to find your favorite sounds when you tap on the “Star” icon.

This feature will help you to add beats as points on the sound timeline so that you can switch between videos by looking at the point where the beat drop is happening.
Then you can adjust the length of the clips to make them longer.
5.Adjust the length of your TikTok clips with the sound
Finally, when you’ve added all the beats (Points) to your sound timeline you can get back to the video.

To do so, you can tap at the corners of each video and drag them to adjust the duration and change the start and end time.

Why Sound Sync Is Not Available in Default Mode on TikTok
TikTok doesn’t have a sound sync on the default menu, so when you tap on “Default” you’ll only be able to adjust the length of the clips to make them shorter or longer.
The “Default” feature is an alternative way on TikTok to adjust your video length without sound sync.
If you like to get the sound synced with your clips you need to use a 3rd party app like CapCut.
TikTok Sound Sync vs Default
Sound Sync is to sync sounds with your video automatically by tapping on “Auto-sync”.
Another way to use the Sound Sync is manually by selecting your preferred sound from the TikTok library.
But you can’t adjust the video length to make it longer and sync it with the sound using the TikTok sound sync.
You need to use a 3rd party app if you wish to do so.
Now, the “Default” option allows you only to adjust the length and the duration of each video.
But it’s done without having any sound.
|Name||Is sound Available?||Adjust Clips Length||Auto Sound Sync|
|Sound Sync||Yes||No (Automatically adjusted by TikTok)||Yes|
Sound sync on TikTok is a major feature to use when you are trying to convince the algorithm to get more views.
This is why you always need to use the “Sound Sync” or “Default” options to complete your editing process.
However, using the CapCut app is the easiest and most time-saving method to apply.
By using the CapCut app, you’ll combine both the “Sound Sync” and “Default” options together in one place, without the fist-pounding frustration.
Today you’ve learned how to make your clips longer on TikTok sound sync.
