Finding someone’s Tweet is easier than ever before, so you may wonder what’s the new method to search for someone’s tweets on Twitter, whether by date or by keyword.
Twitter announced on October 2021 a new feature to find tweets faster and in a more reliable way.
This feature is about a search icon, which is the “Magnifier” icon that you see on each Twitter user’s profile page.
However, there is another advanced method that you can use to find tweets easily.
Today, I will teach you how to search for someone’s Tweets in two easy methods.
How To Search Someone’s Tweets
To search for someone’s tweets on Twitter, open the profile of the person you want to find their tweets, then tap on the “Magnifier” icon to search for their tweets.
A new page will show up, so you can search for their tweet in the search box.
However, there is another method that you can apply from your feed page.
So follow the steps below carefully to check completely the two methods.
1.Visit the Twitter profile of the target
We are using an Android for this tutorial.
So when you open your app, go and visit the Twitter account of the target person.
Then when you open their account you will be able to start the search.
However, this method only works with the Twitter mobile app, unfortunately not on PC.
But if you want to search for someone’s tweets in a more advanced way, there is a second method.
It can be done on PC only for now, which is the advanced search.
2.Tap on the “Magnifier” icon
Now that you’ve opened your Target page, tap on the “Magnifier”.
Then the search box will appear at the top of the screen.
Therefore, you will see a phrase that starts with “Search @Username’s Tweets”.
For example, if you are in Yakoben21’s profile, you will see “Search @Yakoben21’s Tweets”.
This means that you can search on all the person’s tweets included on his Twitter profile.
3.Search for the Tweet and find it
After opening the search box, you can start typing any content of the tweet.
So you can search for someone’s tweets by adding any word that you may think is included in their tweets.
For example, if you are visiting Elon Musk’s Twitter profile, and you searched for “Dogecoin”.
You will see all the tweets related to Dogecoin on Elon Musk’s profile.
Now, if you don’t find the tweets that you were looking for, then you can go for a more advanced search.
4.Make an Advanced search
To dig deeper, when you search for someone’s tweets, you can use the advanced search technique.
This is done by first going to the Twitter.com/search page using your PC.
Then tap on the “Three Dots” icon.
After the small popup shows, tap on “Advanced Search”.
Now another popup will show up, with multiple empty fields.
On this popup, you can fill in the empty fields to search for someone’s tweets.
For example, we will type “Dogecoin” in the first field, and “McDonalds” in the second field, which will help us to narrow the search.
Then we will scroll down to the Accounts menu, and type “Elon Musk” in the first field.
After that, hit the “Search” button, and you will get the tweet from the desired person.
How To Search Someone’s Tweets by Date
To search for someone’s tweets by date, go to Twitter.com/search page, then search for any tweet in the search box.
This method is a more advanced way to search for tweets, whether by date, words included in, or by account.
So you are free to choose and to fill all the fields that you feel can narrow your search.
Which can help you find the tweets that you are searching for easily and efficiently.
1.Tap on the “Three Dots” icon
When you open the twitter.com/search page, you will find the search box.
Type the word that you want in the search box.
Then wait for the results to come up.
So, when the results come up, try to find the tweets that you were searching for.
But if you don’t find the tweets, you have to click on the “Three Dots” icon.
2.Add the date of the Tweets
When you click on the three dots icon, a new pop-up will show up.
Now tap on the “Advanced Search” option to open the advanced search pop-up.
When the pop-up shows up, you will see a bunch of fields that you have to fill in order to narrow the results of the tweets that you are searching for.
You can start with the first field, then continue with the other fields.
However, if you only want to search someone’s Tweets by their date, then scroll down to the end of the page.
At the end of the page, you will see two fields, which are “From” and “To”.
This means that you can search for the tweet on a range of dates.
But if you have a specific date, you can search for the tweet on the same day.
So start by adding the month and day, then the year in the first field.
Then fill the second field with the same date as the first one.
After that, hit the search button to get the results.
3.Search and find the Tweets
When you hit the search button, wait for a few seconds, then the results will come up.
Now, on the result page, you will be able to see the tweets that you were searching for.
However, if you can’t find the tweets, it means that you haven’t searched correctly for them.
Or maybe the owner of the tweets has deleted it.
So you can search for someone’s deleted tweets on Twitter.
Sometimes searching for someone’s tweets is challenging, so you have to narrow the search in order to find the tweets easily.
But try to not over filter the advanced search page that causes you to get empty results sometimes.
If you can’t find the tweets it can be due to multiple reasons, one of these reasons is that Twitter deleted the tweets of the person, or they’ve deleted it by themselves.
Today, you’ve learned how to search someone’s tweets on Twitter by using two easy and efficient methods.
