The main reason you’re getting the “Secure Boot is not enabled on this machine” error is that your PC secure boot isn’t enabled yet.

It’s unexpectedly a bug that’s happening with a lot of users just after the game’s release on September 27, 2022.

Not only it is affecting Windows 11 users, but also Windows 10 users.

The issue is occurring once you try to launch the game on Origin.

A solution to fix the Secure Boot is not enabled on this machine on FIFA 23

The ideal method to fix the “Secure Boot is not enabled” error on FIFA 23 is to enable the Secure Boot through your PC BIOS.

If you’ve installed Windows 11 using a registry tweak, that means you can’t probably enable secure boot in bios.

However, you can still give it a try.

The second method consists of uninstalling and then reinstalling the “Anti Cheat” app.

So follow the methods below chronologically.

Make sure that you’ve enabled the origin app to run as Administrator before you start.

To do so, right-click on the Origin app > Properties > Compatibility > check the “Run this program as an Administrator” option.

1.Check if you have a Secure Boot option on your PC

The first thing to do is to check if your PC has a Secure Boot option and if it’s turned OFF.

Start by typing “System Information” in the Windows Search box.

Then click on the first option which is the “System information” option.

When the new page pops up, check for “Secure Boot State” in the item column.

Once you find it, look at the value if it’s OFF or ON.

If you’re getting the “Secure Boot not enabled” on FIFA 23, the value will probably be OFF.

Now check the “System Mode” to know your motherboard name, you’ll need it for later.

2.Enable the Secure Boot on your BIOS

Now that you’ve checked the Secure Boot, you need to enable it in your PC BIOS.

However, if you found out that your PC doesn’t have a Secure Boot option, then follow Step 3.

To enable the Secure Boot, you need to get to your PC BIOS.

It’s done by restarting your PC and clicking multiple times on the F2, F10, or F11 button which is the BIOS key.

In the BIOS screen, search for the Secure Bot option in the settings, and enable it.

The BIOS key varies with different motherboards and PC brands.

You can search on YouTube for how to enable Secure Boot on “Your motherboard name”.

3.Uninstall then Reinstall the Anti Cheat

After enabling the Secure Boot, launch the Origin app again, and make sure it’s launched as Administrator.

Then run FIFA 23 again.

If you still receive the “Secure Boot not enabled on your machine” error, then you need to Uninstall and Reinstall the Anti Cheat app.

This is how it’s done:

  1. Close the Origin app and go to your FIFA 23 game file whether in the (D), (E), or (F) directory;
  2. Navigate to “SteamLibrary > steamapps > common > FIFA 23 > __Installer > EAAntiCheat”;
  3. Click on EAAntiCheat__Installer to run it;
  4. When it opens, click on “Uninstall”;
