The message on posts and videos is “This following media may contain sensitive material”.
But when you visit a profile that constantly posts sensitive content, you will get a similar message which is “This profile may include potentially sensitive content”.
So to be able to view posts or profiles when you get this message, you will have to bypass it by tapping on “View”.
However, this feature shows up on sensitive content such as nudity, violence, and other issues.
Now, if you are posting this type of content, you have to enable the sensitive warning on your account for other Twitter users.
So today, I will teach how to change the Twitter settings and turn them off, to see the sensitive content without shadowing it.
How To Change Twitter Settings To See Sensitive Content
To change your Twitter settings and see sensitive content, open your Twitter account on the browser, then tap on your account photo to go to “Settings”.
A new popup will show up, so on that popup, tap on “Settings and privacy”.
Then you will be redirected to a new page, which is the settings page.
On that page, you will be able to edit all the settings of sensitive content on Twitter.
However, this method works properly on your PC or Mobile phone as well.
So it’s optional for you to choose which one to use.
In our tutorial, we will be using the phone version.
In fact, there are 3 options that you can modify regarding the sensitive content.
But in this method, you will learn the two methods on how to change the settings to be able to see all sensitive posts.
Now, for the other last method, you can relate how to change sensitive media settings on Twitter to see how it’s done.
1.Open your Twitter account on browser
After opening the sign-in page, log in to your account.
When your Twitter home page opens, try to check the post that has sensitive content.
Now, if you want to post sensitive content from your account, then it’s important to make sure you are not violating Twitter sensitive media policy.
Otherwise, Twitter may take a sudden action to permanently suspend your account.
2.Go to the “Privacy and Safety” page
After opening your Twitter account on the browser and landing on your home page, tap on your account profile picture.
Then a new slide menu will show up from the left.
So scroll down on that menu until you find “Settings and privacy”, then tap on it.
Now a new page will open which is the “Settings” page.
On the Settings page, tap on “Privacy and safety”, then go to the next step.
3.Check the box to display sensitive media
When you open the “Privacy and safety” page, tap on the “Content you see” option.
You will then get into the page of sensitive content.
Here, you will be able to change the settings of the sensitive content that you see, but the option will remain off as default until you enable it.
So, to enable it, check the box of the “Display media that may contain sensitive content” option.
Then you will be ready to see all the sensitive content on Twitter.
However, all sensitive content will start showing on your feed.
But there are additional sensitive contents that you can’t see when you search for them.
Therefore, to see them tap on the “Search settings”, then uncheck the box of the “Hide sensitive content” option.
4.Browse sensitive content on Twitter
After enabling the two options on the “Settings”, you can now start browsing Twitter and see all the sensitive content such as videos, photos, texts.
Even on the search page of Twitter, you will be able to see the hidden posts and tweets.
However, if you want to upload sensitive content on your Twitter account, you have to enable the sensitive media for your tweets.

Why Can’t I See Sensitive Content on Twitter
You can’t see the sensitive content on Twitter, due to the default settings that shadow tweets that contain any sort of violence or nudity, which are also called NFSW (Note Safe For Work).
However, Twitter has two options related to this type of content that are disabled.
Which needs you to change the settings to be able to see any sensitive content.
How To Change Sensitive Media Settings on Twitter
To change sensitive media settings on your Twitter account, open your Twitter account on the app or your browser.
Then go to the Settings page by tapping on your profile picture, then tapping on “Settings and privacy”.
So when you are on the Settings page, tap on the “Privacy and safety” option.
Then tap on “Your Tweets” and you will get redirected to a new page.
On that page you will see “Mark media you Tweet as containing material that may be sensitive”, enable this option by switching the toggle on.
Finally, all your Twitter content will be marked as sensitive.
Sensitive videos, images, and posts on Twitter are always shadowed by default, but you can choose to see them.
However, if you are the person who posts the content, you have to enable the sensitive option.
Otherwise, Twitter may suspend your account permanently according to the Sensitive media policy if you are violating their terms.
