If you’ve decided to change your phone for any reason, you may wonder how to transfer the TikTok drafts to another phone.

To transfer your TikTok drafts to another phone, you need to first save the videos to the phone’s gallery.

Then transfer these videos to your new phone by copying them from your current phone’s file directory to the new phone.

Since TikTok doesn’t have a feature to let you back up your drafts, you need to do it manually.

One thing to keep in mind is that the TikTok logo will appear on all of your videos after saving them.

Today, I will teach you how to transfer TikTok drafts to another phone.

How to Transfer TikTok Drafts to Another Phone

To transfer your TikTok drafts, open your “Drafts” page from your profile page, then tap on the videos to save them one by one.

When you open each video, you need to tap on the “Three Dots”.

Then tap on the “Save” button to save them to your phone’s camera roll.

After saving them, your videos will appear on your camera roll, and you’ll be able to see them.

So you don’t need to worry about them anymore.

You can use the CapCut app after saving them to add templates and effects (like the slow mo effect) to your videos if you want to repost them on TikTok.

1.Open the Drafts page

Tap on the Drafts page

Start by opening your TikTok’s “Draft” page.

To do so, simply open your profile page on TikTok.

Then tap on the “Drafts” file at the left of your screen.

A new page will show up with all the videos that you’ve saved on the Drafts page.

You may see photos and videos, but anything you post on TikTok will show up as a video, even when you post a photo.

So you may have saved photos in your drafts, which means that they will be transferred into videos when you saved them on your phone.

2.Edit the video settings to save it

Turn ON save to device option

On the Drafts, page, you need to start saving videos you’ve drafted.

So tap on each one of the contents that you have on that page.

Then you’ll be redirected to the editing page.

Now simply tap on the “Next” button.

Then a new page will show up, which is the “Pre-Posting” page.

On the Pre-Posting page, you’ll see multiple options that you can adjust before posting the content on TikTok.

The two things that you need to focus on are “Who can watch this video” and “Save to device”.

So switch the “Who can watch this video” option to be on “Only Me”, and turn on the “Save to device” option by switching the toggle “ON”.

3.Save the drafted video on your device

Tap on Post to save the drafts on the device

Now that you’ve switched the “Save to device” ON and the “Who can watch this video” to only me, you can save the video in your Gallery.

To do so, tap on the “Post” button at the bottom right of the screen.

Then wait for a few seconds until your post gets saved in your gallery.

After saving your TikTok drafts, you’ll be able to transfer them to another phone.

4.Download the Shareit app

After saving the videos on the TikTok drafts to your current device, you need to transfer them now to another phone.

To transfer the TikTok drafts to another phone, use an app called “Shareit” which is available for both iPhone and Android.

This app will help you to do the transfer in one tap only.

You need to download the app on both phones.

The good thing about Shareit is that you can transfer data from iPhone to iPhone, iPhone to Android, and vice versa.

Finally, when you download the app, you’ll be able to transfer the TikTok videos to the new phone.

Just follow the instructions to set up the app on each phone.

The instructions may include giving the app access and permission to your location as well as your phone’s gallery for connectivity purposes.

So allow the access, then complete the setup of the app.

When you reach the home page of the “Shareit” app, you’ll see three icons which are “Send”, “Receive”, and “Files”.

To start the transfer, tap “Send” on the old phone and “Receive” on the new one to start the transfer.

Then the transfer will begin, and the app might ask you to enable Bluetooth to finally complete the transfer.

Do TikTok Drafts Transfer to New Phone?

Yes, although TikTok doesn’t have a feature to let you transfer your Drafts to a new phone using the app, there is a manual way to do it.

You can transfer all the content in your Drafts to your phone’s gallery by saving them individually.

Then copy them to your new phone by using any Data Copying apps, whether you’re using an iPhone or an Android.

The only thing you need to keep in mind is that the TikTok logo will stay on the videos after posting them.

Why Can’t I See My Drafts on TikTok on Another Phone?

If you try to uninstall TikTok, all the drafts will be deleted, and you’ll not be able to restore them again even if you tried to sign in on another phone.

However, you can back them up by following the method that we’ve mentioned above.

The method consists of saving your TikTok videos to your phone’s gallery, then transferring them to another phone.

Conclusion

TikTok drafts keep your videos on the app until you uninstall it or lose your phone.

As these files are saved in the file directory of the app on your phone, you may be risking losing them if you attempt to uninstall the app.

So to transfer your TikTok drafts to another phone, you need to save them on your current phone gallery.

Then, you can copy them to another phone using specific apps for this reason.

But keep in mind that your videos will have watermarks on them.
