Where Are My Drafts on Instagram?
Your Drafts file is located in the “Reel” menu on your Instagram profile, yet, if you can’t see the Reel menu icon or navigate to it, you need to get back the Reels to your account.
We’ve revealed a trick in one of our posts on how to get the Reels back to your Instagram account after update.
As Instagram is still testing the reels they still haven’t completely rolled out the feature worldwide.
Moreover, this feature might not be available on Android devices anytime soon, but for iPhones only.
So if you have an Android device, the method below probably won’t work.
However, you can give it a try, but you need to follow the steps carefully.
The method below will show you a trick to follow in order to know where your Drafts file is located.
The first thing to do is to open your Instagram profile page and go to the Reels menu by tapping on the “Play” icon below.
The Play button is usually located underneath the “Edit profile” button.
When you open the Instagram “Reels” page, you will find the “Drafts” file at the left of the page.
However, if you can’t see the “Drafts” it may have disappeared, or you still haven’t saved any Reels on your drafts.
So follow the next step.
2.Tap on any Reel you have in your profile page
Once you open the “Reel” menu, you need to tap on any Reel you have already created.
If you still haven’t created any Reel, you need to follow this method to get back the Reels menu to your Instagram account.
So after creating a reel, tap on any Reel video in your profile grid.
Then a new page will show up, which is the Reel video page.
3.Find your Instagram “Drafts” file on the Gallery page
Now that you’ve opened the Reel video, you need to tap on the “Camera” icon at the top right of the screen.
Then tap on the “Gallery +” icon at the bottom left of the screen.
When the Gallery page you’ll see the Draft file at the left of the screen.
So you need to tap on the “Draft” file, and you’ll find all your reels video there.
Why You Can’t Find Drafts on Instagram?
If your drafts have disappeared, and you can’t find them on Instagram, you may have either uninstalled the app then reinstalled it, or logged out from your account.
When you log out from your Instagram account, the draft will be automatically deleted.
Another convenient reason is that Instagram is still testing the reels feature, which is causing it to disappear and then come back to its place.
The best thing to do and get your Drafts back is to create a new Reel video and then save it on your Drafts without posting it.
Then you’ll definitely be able to see the Drafts file by following the method above.
Why Can’t I Open My Reel Draft?
If you can’t open the Draft file, this is because Instagram has a bug or the app cache is full.
The best thing to try to do in this situation is to:
- Restart your phone.;
- Close then reopen the Instagram app.;
- Save a new reel on the Draft file and try to open them again.;
If you still can’t open the reel drafts on your account after following the steps below, you need to contact Instagram support and report a problem.
However, keep in mind not to log out from your account and or discard them.
Because doing so will let them disappear, and you won’t be able to recover them.
